"Purchasing"

Aft Camera Equipment is a 2.4 ghz transmitting system with about a 10,000' range. It was bought in Jun '04 from Art @ BoosterVision. Ordering was a breeze and I talked with Art several times for technical info before I actually made my purchase. Delivery time was about a week and everything was well packed. Instructions are included and are pretty straight forward.

The Armageddon Kit was originally going to be purchased through Lance at Merlin Missiles. I wanted to get the kit with an avionics bay and make it zipperless. I ended up talking with Danny @ DG&A Rockets about what I wanted to do with his kit before deciding to buy it. He offered to throw in the altimeter bay and zipperless kits. I called Lance @ Merlin back to order my rocket through him and he told me since DG&A was willing to throw in the extra stuff that I needed that I should purchase the rocket from them. How cool is that? I wanted to purchase the rocket through Lance but he was more interested in me getting the most out of my money. The motor hardware will be purchased through him. I have to give both vendors credit for awesome service. Danny @ DG&A had my kit to me within a week, and he had gone online and printed up an article on building zipperless boosters and put it in with my kit prior to shipping. And the instructions look to be pretty good. I'll hardly be using them due to the mods I'm making but it's good to know their instructions are clear. DG&A has some other kits that have caught my eye.

Avionics/Recovery I'm using 2 PerfectFlite minialt dual event Altimeters purchased through Chuck @ Rocket City Rocketry Definitely not my first purchase with Chuck, and as long as he's in business not my last either. Couldn't ask for an easier or more flexible person to work with.

I used Rocketry Online's auctions to buy most of my recovery items. Bought 463' of 9/16" Tubular Nylon, swivels, nomex heat shields, & a brand spanking new 72" red & white PML chute. And I got to meet some really neat people and make a new friend or two.
